What is the judging process for the QC Green Awards?

The entries will undergo a three-step evaluation process:

1.

Desk Review and Evaluation: All QC Green Awards submissions will be reviewed, evaluated, and scored to determine the shortlisted entries for the next round and will be conducted by the QC Green Awards Technical Working Group. Based on the desk evaluation, only the top entries per category will be included for further screening through field validation.

2.

Field Validation/Inspection: Field validation will be conducted for the top entries per category, with the schedule provided at least one (1) week in advance. This process verifies the existence and functionality of the systems and programs submitted. The average score among validators will be computed and discussed in the final Technical Working Group meeting. At this stage, validators may vote to disqualify an entry if forging or falsification of submitted documents are found and proven. Field validation will be conducted by a composite team of validators from the QC Green Awards Technical Working Group.

3.

Judges’ Interview: The top-scoring finalists in each category will present before a panel of judges, who will deliberate to determine the final placement of the winners. Schedule of Final Presentation before a panel of judges shall be issued to the finalists one (1) week before the deliberation date.

What are the criteria for judging the entries?

Entries will be evaluated based on various criteria such as innovation, sustainability, environmental impact, social and economic impact, feasibility, and scalability. Detailed criteria vary between the Green and Resilient categories.

Can an organization submit entries for multiple categories?

An organization may submit an entry to both the Green and Resilient categories. However, organizations may only submit one (1) entry per category.

What happens if my organization’s entry is selected?

If your entry is selected, you will be notified and may proceed to the field validation/inspection stage. If you become a finalist, you will present your project before a panel of judges during the final deliberation.
