What is QC Green Awards?

The QC Green Awards is an award-giving program that recognizes and rewards outstanding and inclusive programs, projects, and best practices in disaster resilience and climate action by Sangguniang Kabataan Councils, Youth Organizations, Barangays, Businesses, Public and Private Hospitals, Public and Private Schools, Non-Governmental Organizations or Civil Society Organizations, and People’s Organizations within Quezon City.
What are the prizes for the QC Green Awards?
What are the Green and Resilient Categories?
The competition has two main categories:

Resilient Category: This includes awards for Sangguniang Kabataan Councils, Youth Organizations, Barangays, Businesses, Hospitals, Schools, Non-Governmental Organizations or Civil Society Organizations, and People’s Organizations based on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management best practices and project proposals.

Green Category: This includes awards for Sangguniang Kabataan Councils, Youth Organizations, Barangays, Businesses, Hospitals, Schools, Non-Governmental Organizations or Civil Society Organizations, and People’s Organizations based on Local Climate Change Action Plan Pillars.
Who can join the QC Green Awards?

The competition is open to all Sangguniang Kabataan Councils, Youth Organizations, Barangays, Businesses, Public and Private Hospitals, Public and Private Schools, Non-Governmental Organizations or Civil Society Organizations, and People’s Organizations within the territorial jurisdiction of Quezon City. Specific eligibility criteria apply for each category.
How can I join?

To join, simply download the entry form from the official microsite. Submit your organization’s best practices and project proposals under the Green and Resilient categories.

You can email your entries to entry.greenawards@quezoncity.gov.ph or submit them during the live training workshop. Attending the workshop is highly encouraged to better understand the guidelines and requirements.

Entries will be accepted from June 1 to July 15, 2025. Previous awardees are welcome to join again, as long as they submit improved or updated initiatives. All entries will be reviewed and validated.
What is the judging process for the QC Green Awards?

Desk Review & Evaluation

First, a desk review and evaluation will take place. This is where the QC Green Awards team will asesss and score all submitted entries. The top entries in each category will then proceed to the on-site field validation.

Field Validation

Second, the shortlisted entries from the desk evaluation will undergo on-site validation of their project progress and present relevant proof or Means of Verification (MOVs) to the field validators.

Judges’ Deliberation

Lastly, top entries from the field validation will present to a panel of judges for deliberation. Final presentation schedules will be provided one week before the interview.
